Since its formation in 1990, the STPP has relied on experts from a wide range of organizations to assess transportation needs, trends, and policies. This has included leaders from Federal, state, regional, and local transportation agencies; universities, think tanks, and foundations; transit, bicycle, and pedestrian organizations; environment, energy, and social justice groups; and other national, state, and local advocates.
Today, STPP continues to bring together these leaders – many of whom are now “alumni” of public agencies, national organizations, and STPP itself – to apply their unique insights and perspectives to current issues in transportation, and to help inform the ongoing debate.
